Calling all Southern California horror fans! Are you ready to subvert everything you know about the genre? This September, Screamfest is bringing its beloved Fears & Beers outdoor screening series back to the historic McGroarty Arts Center in Tujunga/Sunland.

Pack your blankets, grab a cold drink, and join us on Saturday, September 12, 2026, for an unforgettable night of horror under the stars featuring the modern masterwork, The Cabin in the Woods.

Event Schedule & Information

• Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026

• Time: 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Gates & Concessions open at 7:00 PM | Movie screens at 8:00 PM)

• Location: McGroarty Arts Center, 7570 McGroarty Terrace, Tujunga, CA 91042

• Admission: $20 per ticket (Includes a complimentary beer for guests 21+ with a valid ID).

• Parking: Street parking available.

• Age Policy: All ages are welcome to attend! Rated R (No one under 17 admitted without a parent or guardian). Guests must be 21+ with a valid ID to consume alcohol.

About the Film: The Cabin in the Woods (2012)

Synopsis

Five college friends escape to a remote cabin in the woods for a weekend away, but their getaway quickly turns into something far more sinister than they could have imagined. What begins as a classic setup of young people isolated in the wilderness gradually reveals a much larger, stranger conspiracy unfolding behind the scenes. Blending horror, dark comedy, monsters, and gore, it is a wildly inventive celebration of everything we love about the genre.
