Samuel Aguirre-Kelly (he/him) is a New Orleans-based director & DP. His primary focus as a filmmaker has been music videos, short films, and live performance. Through his production company, Fast Friends, he has directed music videos for labels such as Jack White’s Third Man Records, Winspear, and Perpetual Doom. By blending the style of music videos with the story of narrative films, Sam’s work lands in a surreal, comedic, and rhythmic zone that treats fantasy and the mundane with equal importance as it jumps between the two. His narrative directorial credits include HBD, which screened at Indie Short Fest, Cinema on the Bayou Film Festival, and Jelly Film Festival, where the short placed as a semi-finalist. Sam’s short film VREAL placed as a runner-up at Backyard Film Festival. Read less
