Black Christmas: Mon. Nov. 18th
Monday, November 18th Screamfest NOLA and Timecode celebrate the 50th anniversary of BLACK CHRISTMAS to kick of the Christmas horror season. As winter break begins, a group of sorority sisters, including Jess (Olivia Hussey) and the often inebriated Barb (Margot Kidder), begin to receive anonymous, lascivious phone calls. Initially, Barb eggs the caller on, but stops when he responds threateningly. Soon, Barb's friend Clare (Lynne Griffin) goes missing from the sorority house, and a local adolescent girl is murdered, leading the girls to suspect a serial killer is on the loose. But no one realizes just how near the culprit is.
Starring Olivia Hussey, Keir Dullea, Margot Kidder and John Saxon. Inspired by the urban legend “The Babysitter and the Man Upstairs” and a series of murders that took place in the Westmount neighborhood of Montreal, Quebec.

Monday, December 2nd at The Broadside, Screamfest NOLA and Timecode bring you a 40th anniversary screening of GREMLINS. Zach Galligan will be in person for a Q&A and autograph signing afterwards.
Randall Peltzer is an inventor of very modest abilities and questionable success. From the fictional community of a New York state called Kingston Falls, he travels to Chinatown in New York City to sell his inventions and pick up a present for his son, Billy Peltzer. A young Chinese boy there takes Randall to his grandfather's small shop, where Randall takes interest in four small cute furry creatures called a mogwai. Mr. Wing, the Chinese boy's grandfather and owner of the shop, refuses to sell the mogwai, even when Randall offers $200 for it. This is money that the Wing family desperately needs, however. Therefore, Wing's grandson secretly sells the mogwai to Randall. Though the creature seems innocent enough, the grandson then warns Randall that he must not let the mogwai near bright light, especially sunlight, which can kill the mogwai; must not allow water to touch the mogwai; and, most importantly, must never, ever feed it after midnight.

In the twisted holiday nightmare,little Billy witnesses his parents getting killed by Santa after being warned by his senile grandpa that Santa punishes those who are naughty. Now Billy is 18 and out of the orphanage, and he has just become Santa himself.
