Kate graduated with an Honours Degree in Film & Television Production from the National Film School, IADT in 2012. There, she majored in Directing and minored in Editing. Her graduate short Breathe In (2012) was selected for a number of Irish and international film festivals. She has worked in many facets of filmmaking including Art Dept, Production and also worked as a Broadcast Producer in TBWA Dublin for almost 2 years after graduating. Kate will often edit and colour grade her own work due to her background in editing at college. In 2014, she attended Berlinale Talents to develop her short Little Doll at the Short Film Script Station. The film depicts the first same-sex crush of a young girl. The short premiered as part of Generation Kplus at Berlinale 2016.
