Jennifer Saura is a Spanish-American filmmaker, working in both documentary and narrative. She began her career as a development assistant at Roger Corman’s New Horizons Pictures, where she worked on creature features and camp horror films such as “Sharktopus" and "Splatter." In 2011, she was awarded a Fulbright to shoot a video documentary series in Buenos Aires, and went on to produce a series of shorts documenting New York City public spaces as part of her master’s degree studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Her current filmmaking practice explores psychological and supernatural horror, as seen through a distinctly female-focused lens. Her first narrative short films as a writer-director, “Don’t Leave Me” (2025) and “Donor” (2025), were recently selected to premiere at the Sioux City International Film Festival and Los Angeles Screamfest, respectively.
