CD Vallada graduated in Film from FAAP in 2010, where he wrote and directed the 35mm short film A Morte de Mim (My Death). During college, he also organized the Olho de Vidro Short Film Festival and worked on dozens of films in various roles. He wrote about cinema for websites such as Portal Higi, El Hombre, and Peliplat. He worked as a production assistant for the Belgian feature film Bula (2020). As an editor, he worked at the production companies Frontera Filmes (2017-2020) and Iskool Filmes (2022-present). He wrote, directed, and edited the experimental feature film I Am Not a Racist (2020), which was selected for festivals such as the Inhapim Cine Festival and the Shanghai International Film Festival.
