YiChun Kao is a director, screenwriter and founder of HiBrain Image. He made his debut with a short film that won the Best Student Film Award at the Taiwan Golden Harvest Awards. The Abandoned Deity (2019) is his first VR film, which was selected for Animafest Zagreb, Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, SIGGRAPH, Cannes XR and Kaohsiung Film Festival. The animated short film The Final Mission 2060, based on the long-form comic books he created, is currently seeking funding for a 12-episode series.
