Tony Morales is a Spanish director, screenwriter, and producer specializing in horror films and independent cinema. Born in Málaga and a native of Alhaurín el Grande, he has established himself as a leading figure in horror short films and author-driven genre cinema, known for his unique style that blends unsettling atmospheres, psychological tension, and short-form horror storytelling. He began his career in 2014 with the short film “Ku”, marking the start of his exploration into contemporary horror cinema. His second short, “Hada”, was screened at multiple international fantastic film festivals, reinforcing his reputation as an independent horror filmmaker with a distinctive and recognizable voice. In 2017, he adapted the famous CreepyPasta “Black Eyed Child”, which had its world premiere at Fantasporto and was selected at prestigious festivals such as Screamfest and Sitges. This project established him as an international director of horror short films, capable of creating short horror narratives with strong emotional impact. In 2020, he released “Abracitos”, with its world premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal and its U.S. premiere at Fantastic Fest. The short film was featured in numerous international horror film festivals, reaffirming his ability to deliver psychological horror and intense tension in brief, impactful stories. In 2023, he presented “Alicia”, which had its world premiere at A Night of Horror International Film Festival and its U.S. premiere at HorrOrigins Film Festival. This short film continues its journey through international horror and fantastic film festivals, recognized for combining fear, suspense, and unsettling atmospheres. Currently, “La visitante” is his most ambitious and terrifying project to date, consolidating his position as one of the leading international directors of horror short films and a creator of author-driven horror short films. He is internationally represented by Chris Sablan (Avenue 220) and Scott Henderson (CAA).
