Tom Kircher discovered his love of horror and film at a young age after being terrified by the Wes Craven classic, A Nightmare on Elm Street. In the years since then, he has pursued these passions by taking extra-curricular film classes and making numerous short films in his home state of New Jersey during grade school and high school. His short horror films made during those years received festival attention, even winning best student short awards at The Garden State Film Festival and Eerie Horror Film Festival in 2013. His love of film and genre storytelling led him to study film at Chapman University, where he graduated in 2018. It was during this time that he was able to make'The Dionaea House," a short film adaptation of a terrifying viral story, as his senior thesis.
