In 2023, Steven wrote, produced, directed, co-composed and edited the surrealist psychological mystery horror VIOLETT, which screened at Portland Horror International Film Festival. It won Best Australian feature film and Best Australian performance (in Georgia Eyers) at the 2023 Sydney's A Night of Horror International film festival, as well as a stack of other festival awards including Best Narrative Feature and performance at the 2023 WA Screen Awards.
Steven brings diverse creative experience into his filmmaking from backgrounds in music composition & production, music video producing, acting coaching, specialist drama & media teaching through education.

SHED is a survival horror about an intelligent 10 year old girl Mia, who is locked inside a farm work shed during friendly game of hide and seek with her family on Christmas Eve. When a strange crazed man with nothing to live for enters their property, a murderous rampage unfolds. With Mia still locked in the shed, and with this strange man now squatting in their very home, it is only a matter of time before the two of them must come face to face.
