I’m an Australian filmmaker writing human stories and finding unique ways to direct them through the lens of horror. My prior short film, CREEK, premiered at the Vision Splendid Film Festival in 2024, and has garnered over 200k views on YouTube. I've since experimented with the genre in my latest short film, VOX. It’s a story that clings to an idea I've been drawn to: the premise of Generative AI in the hands of an artist, but it’s more the outcomes of that relationship that frightens me. This short film is a contained and emphasized look into this premise, burrowing deep into what becomes of an artist in it, and what comes of their art and to those consuming it.
