Michael Zumaya is a filmmaker based in Austin, TX by way of San Diego, CA. He’s a first-gen American who grew up with traditional Mexican culture and Spanish as his first language. He's directed over 75 music videos for a wide array of artists, predominantly in alternative genres like Boy Harsher, Danny Elfman, Deftones, AFI, and TR/ST. In his first narrative short TRANSFERENCE, a hypnotherapist digs through a patient's nightmarish memory fragments to piece together answers about her own troubling past.
