Felipe Martinez Carbonell is an award winning director, producer, writer, and editor born on October 21, 1990 in Rosario, Argentina. His first short film "Llantos" (translated as "Tears" in English) was selected by FEISAL (Federation of Schools of Image and Sound of Latin America) to be screened across the entire region of Latin America. His second short film Momento (translated as "Moment" in English), which he wrote, directed, edited, and produced, won Best Short Film at the Latin American Film Festival in Rosario, Argentina.
In 2014, Felipe moved to California to study film where he enrolled in and then graduated from UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) In Los Angeles, he had the opportunity to produce content for Defiant Pictures with some of the world's greatest talent including Shirley MacLaine, Jessica Lange, Demi Moore, Hillary Duff, and others. Besides work in film, Felipe has also enjoyed the opportunity to direct, produce, write and edit advertising campaigns for companies such as the ad agency Acento Advertising and health care company Banner Health in the United States.
Currently, Felipe is busy running his production company, Hemisferio Films. They have finished production on their most recent short film, "Imaginary Portrait", which has already received attention & acclaim from various news, media sources, and film festivals from Latin America and abroad (Grimmfest in Manchester UK, Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre, & Fantaspoa in Brasil). Now, Felipe is working on his debut horror feature film.
