Abner Pastoll was born in South Africa, grew up in London, and now lives in Seoul. His latest film, NERVOUS, world premiered as the Opening Film of FrightFest 2026, with the BFI calling it “superb.” His previous film, A GOOD WOMAN IS HARD TO FIND, world premiered at Fantasia, closed FrightFest’s 20th anniversary edition, and later screened at Screamfest, where Sarah Bolger won Best Actress. Certified Fresh at 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, it was also named one of the Top 10 Thrillers of 2020. His debut, ROAD GAMES, was released in the US by IFC Films.
