Jeffrey Primm was a writer and director from the Pacific Northwest whose lifelong passion for cinema shaped his distinctive approach to filmmaking. A walking encyclopedia of film history, Primm drew inspiration from a wide range of genres and filmmakers, with a particular affinity for horror and the influential Seattle grunge music scene of the 1990s.

For his debut feature, 213 Bones, Primm set out to create a contemporary college slasher/thriller that combined the suspense and thrills of classic genre cinema with the energy, attitude, and youthful ensemble spirit of the movies he grew up loving. He was deeply involved in every detail of the production, from the screenplay and characters to the atmosphere, locations, music, and visual design.

Primm chose Spokane, Washington, as the setting for 213 Bones, with Eastern Washington University providing the film’s primary college-campus environment. The university’s beautiful campus and autumn landscape offered the ideal backdrop for a story that moves between the familiar world of college life and the darker elements of a classic horror thriller.

The film features a young and charismatic ensemble cast, including Colin Egglesfield, Luna Fujimoto, Hunter Nance, Francesca Barker McCormick, Dean Cameron, Toni Weiss, and Liam Woodruff. The film’s original music was composed by Ram Khat.

213 Bones was produced by John Michaels and Tyler Jon Olson, with Joyce Schweickert serving as Executive Producer.

Tragically, after completing 213 Bones, Jeffrey Primm died unexpectedly. The film became his first—and, regrettably, his last—feature film. His passion for cinema and the Pacific Northwest is woven into every frame of the movie, making 213 Bones not only his directorial debut but also a lasting testament to his creative vision and love of filmmaking.

213 Bones received its UK premiere at FrightFest in London, where the film was introduced to an international audience of horror and genre-film enthusiasts.

Jeffrey Primm leaves behind a film that represents the realization of a lifelong dream: to write and direct a feature of his own. 213 Bones stands as his creative legacy and a lasting tribute to a filmmaker whose love of movies inspired him to make one himself.
