Isolation
Synopsis
During the 1996 Taiwan Strait Crisis, an unidentified fishing boat runs aground on a remote military island. Responding swiftly, the stationed soldiers assume it's another routine drill—until figures leap from the ship and gunfire erupts. This is no exercise.
The vessel carries not enemy combatants, but the undead. As the island is overrun by zombies, the soldiers’ ideals of duty and valor quickly unravel. Discipline falters. What once symbolized patriotic pride descends into chaos.
Cut off from reinforcements and with no way out, the young conscripts are forced to confront not only the flesh-eating enemy but the collapse of everything they believed in—order, brotherhood, and identity.
Blending military thriller with zombie horror, the film explores how the myths of war—especially those imposed on the young—shatter under extreme pressure. When the rules of engagement collapse, survival demands more than just combat skills. It demands clarity about who the real enemy is.
