Synopsis
Sally joins a dream summer trip to Sicily with her childhood bestie Poppy, hoping to re-connect before they start university. Confronted with Poppy's volatile new friend Alex, Sally is strangely drawn to the traditional puppets decorating their villa, and the strings that bind the two friends threaten to rip them apart.

Ava Pearson is a 17-year old currently living in England studying for her A-Levels. She is profoundly deaf in both ears and hears with cochlear implants. She has loved telling stories for as long she can remember and has wanted to make films since she could read the subtitles.
Nina Zandvliet is an 18 year old director from the Netherlands. Since 2020 she is making movies. She is a self-taught filmmaker, always trying to learn new things. Nina makes movies about underexposed socially relevant topics. She believes that with films you can get people to think differently about social topics while having fun. She believes with socially relevant movies you can make the world a better place.
Eleanor Smith is an 18 year old Scottish-American filmmaker and actor. Having grown up across Asia, her storytelling is influenced by her diverse experiences. Her documentary, “Instant Gimbap,” has been showcased at numerous film festivals, winning Best Documentary at the Arizona International Film Festival. In addition to her work as a filmmaker, Eleanor has acted in productions such as "Reset" and "XO, Kitty." She continues to develop her skills and pursue new storytelling opportunities while studying at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Read less
