Devan Schoelen was born and raised in Red Bluff, CA. At the age of 6 he stumbled upon Steven Spielberg's JAWS while flipping through the channels one afternoon. This quickly became one of his favorite movies and introduced him to the horror section of Blockbuster, where he fell in love with genre films such as Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer and When a Stranger Calls. At 18, Devan moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in filmmaking. He is a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and currently studies at The Groundlings while creating his own work.
