Glenn Gers has been a screenwriter for over 20 years, with credits including FRACTURE, MAD MONEY and the the Emmy-winning Showtime Original Family Movie OFF SEASON. In 2000 he wrote, directed and edited an ultra-low-budget independent feature, THE ACCOUNTANT, which was an official selection of the Atlanta Film Festival, and won the Discovery Award/Grand Prize at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. His second ultra-low-budget indie feature as writer/director was DISFIGURED, the story an unexpected friendship between two women: one obese, the other anorexic. It was an official selection at six film festivals, winning the Grand Jury Prize at the deadCENTER Film Festival. DISFIGURED was nominated as 'Best Picture - Mental Health' by the PRISM Awards, and the Women's Film Critic's Circle created a special award to honor the lead actress, Deidra Edwards. It opened in New York in July 2008, and was released on DVD by Cinema Libre Studio. Read less
