James Webber has worked as a filmmaker for nearly 15 years, writing and directing several award-winning shorts that have been screened at festivals and venues all over the world - most notably the internationally-acclaimed short, Driftwood, starring Sam Gittins (Ripper Street, Howl) and Neil Maskell (Kill List, Utopia), which has screened at over 40 international film festivals, picked up a prestigious 'Coup de Coeur' at Cannes 2013 and was long-listed for a BAFTA. Driftwood has so far received a combined total of 30 award wins and/or nominations and been picked up for distribution by Shorts International, which has lead to the film's release on iTunes and being screened on Channel 4 in the UK. James' next short film was drama Soror, which stars Rosie Day (The Seasoning House, Misfits), Sian Breckin (Starred Up, Tyrannosaur) and Kate Dickie (Red Road, Game of Thrones). Soror received it's world premiere at London Short Film Festival. In 2011, James worked with director Axelle Carolyn (Tales of Halloween) on her short film The Halloween Kid (Starring Sir Derek Jacobi, Anna Walton and Julian Glover), which he produced alongside Neil Marshall (Dir.
