Synopsis
In a world of putrid zombie movies, DEADHEADS is a breath of fresh air, says horror icon Bruce Campbell about the debut feature from the sons of Bart Pierce, the special effects photographer on the classic EVIL DEAD. A return to 1980's style comedy-adventure movies like BACK TO THE FUTURE and THE GOONIES, the Pierce Brothers winning combo of gory horror action, smart humour and heartfelt emotion follows zombie slackers Mike and Brent as they travel across country to find the former's old girlfriend and love of his life. But will those nasty bounty-hunting agents with a secret agenda catch them before they do? And you'll just love Markus Taylor as the lumbering Cheese in this Road Trip of the Living Dead that's hilarious and surprisingly sweet

The Pierce Brothers broke into the world of horror with their rom-zom-com cult hit DEADHEADS in 2011 and followed it up with the hilarious companion short film SMUSH! A DEADHEADS SHORT. The Pierce Brothers filmmaker roots we're born out of growing up amid the production of the original EVIL DEAD of which their father served as the photographic FX artist. THE WRETCHED is their new foray into horror folklore and recently premiered at the FANTASIA FILM FESTIVAL in Montreal followed by FRIGHTFEST in London.
