Australian Writer/Director John V. Soto has written and directed five feature films including action thriller AVARICE, which was acquired by Showtime/Paramount in 2023, Sci-fi thriller ALPHA GATEWAY, crime thriller THE RECKONING, horror thriller NEEDLE (acquired by Lionsgate) and supernatural thriller, CRUSH. Avarice was selected for the Montreal Independent Film Festival where it won Best Thriller. Previously John won Best Director for Alpha Gateway at the Austin Revolution Film Festival and also won Best Director at the British Independent Film Festival for his film crime thriller The Reckoning. His horror film, Needle, was selected for both Screamfest and the British Horror Film Festival where it won Best Cinematography. Read less
