Eskandari is a former alumnus of Screamfest. His first film, "The Taking" was awarded 'Best Short Film' and continued an impressive run, racking up numerous accolades across the International Festival circuit. The film propelled him to nationwide exposure when he was chosen by Steven Spielberg, from a pool of 12,000 filmmakers, to participate in the FOX filmmaker competition 'On the Lot.'
His controversial Cannes feature debut "Victim" was hailed by Ain’t it Cool News as “a thinking man’s Saw” and “both original and disturbing.” It was distributed theatrically by IFC Films in 2010 and is currently available worldwide on Netflix and DVD.
Eskandari has continued to direct international music videos and commercial promos across the globe from Shanghai to Bali to Rome. He has been interviewed by Forbes, MoreHorror, FEARNET, and Cinemafantastique' Magazine. "The Gauntlet" starring International stars Bai Ling and Warren Kole marks his return to Screamfest.
