Todd Ocvirk is an award winning writer, director and producer of Hawaiian, Chinese, Caucasian and Mexican descent. His brand is Epic Nightmares. After graduating from the USC Film School where he was honored to have legendary director John Woo as a mentor, he co-wrote and co-directed his first feature film, the award winning independent shocker Kolobos, which has become a cult favorite among genre fans. He followed that up by producing the indie zombie opus Gangs of the Dead earning a story credit and also serving as 2nd unit director. Next, Todd spent several months in Shanghai, China writing episodes of the children's puppet show Zip-A-Gang for Dream Tube Entertainment. He then made his first foray into comic book writing with IDW Publishing's Song of Saya, a hallucinatory, Lovecraftian love story based on the successful Japanese light novel Saya No Uta. Next, Todd raised R&D grants for a documentary he intends to write, direct and produce about Native Hawaiians who fought in the American Civil War called Hawaii Sons of the Civil War. Todd most recently co-produced and wrote the screenplay for the award winning fantasy/horror feature Bashira which filmed in Buffalo, New York and Nagoya, Japan, and was directed by Academy Award winning VFX artist Nickson Fong. Todd is expanding his brand to include explorations into cultural identity and history, something important to him given his multi-ethnic background. By looking at these themes through the cinematic lens of genre, he intends to push the boundaries of what genre can be. When not crafting mind bending horror or hard hitting action dramas, you can find Todd at the gym, in the dojo, at a movie theater, or in a Hawaiian BBQ joint. He also wants you to tell your dog he said hi. Daniel Liatowitsch was born on July 30, 1971 in Basel, Switzerland. He is a director and writer, known for Kolobos (1999), Avatars Offline (2002) and Real World Massacre: The Making of Kolobos (2019). He has been married to Negin Liatowitsch since September 2, 2001.
