Mike Fontaine (b. 1989)  is a filmmaker and special effects makeup artist based in New York City.  At the age of 9, he became a protégée of legendary makeup artist Dick Smith (The Exorcist, The Godfather) and was closely mentored by him into his adult years. As a SFX makeup artist, Mike received an Oscar Nomination this year for his work on Colin Farrell as the Penguin in “The Batman”. He received a Guild Award for “Coming 2 America” and an Emmy Nomination for “Boardwalk Empire.” His credits of over 40 films include “The Irishman”, The “Wolf of Wall Street”, and “The Place Beyond The Pines.” Mike has also worked with Heidi Klum on creating many of her iconic Halloween looks over the past decade including last year’s viral “Worm” costume. His first short film “Haxan”, premiered at Sitges International Film Festival.
