Xavier Mesme is a French screenwriter, director, and novelist. Beginning his career in literature and animation, he quickly turned to cinema, crafting stories that blend tension, emotion, and psychological depth. His debut short, The Cure — a supernatural thriller — was a festival sensation, selected in over 40 international festivals, winning 10 awards, and broadcast in France (Canal+) and abroad. He then directed La Bouteille, which earned 50 festival selections and 13 international awards. His latest film, Impure, has already won four awards, including Best Thriller Short and Award of Excellence at IndieX Fest, as well as the Jury Award at PUFA, with selections at renowned festivals such as Off Court Trouville and RIFFF. Xavier also writes for television, contributing to Season 2 of the animated series Ricky Zoom (Frogbox/Hasbro Entertainment). He is currently developing several feature projects, including Hacia (in development) and Faille (in financing), continuing to explore dark, emotionally charged stories with a cinematic edge.
