Tom Sainsbury has directed theatre, TV and film for the last twenty years. He has produced and directed over fifty theatre productions that have been performed in BATS Theatre, The Basement, Q Theatre, Circa Theatre, Centrepoint Theatre, and the Baycourt in Tauranga. His dance production company, Dynamotion, has produced and toured comedy dance shows for the last ten years. He has produced and directed the web series, Stake Out and Sextortion, which were distributed on TVNZ+. He and Chillbox have entered the 48hours film competition four times, winning the grand prize twice, and runner-up once. He was also awarded the Best Director award twice in the competition. Tom has worked with TV production company, Kevin & Co, as both a writer and director. Through them he has directed episodes of the sitcom, Golden Boy, and comedy Abandonment Issues. His first feature film - Loop Track - enabled Tom to successfully execute a project of that scale. The process was incredibly rewarding and a deep learning experience. This has given Tom huge confidence leading into his next production.
