Erica Orofino is an award-winning writer/director based in Toronto. She loves telling stories about taboo subject matter. Her work is fuelled by the desire to connect people, and focuses on the female perspective, sexuality, complex familial relationships, and mental illness. Most recently, Erica’s latest dramatic short, She Keeps Me, won Best Canadian Short at the 2022 Pendance Film Festival. It has screened internationally and been revered for its nuanced portrayal of two sisters coping with one's bipolar disorder. Erica's work has been supported by the Ontario and Canada Arts Councils. Erica is a Director's Lab alum at the Canadian Film Centre (2022).
