Chus Lara, originally from La Mancha, Spain, has always been drawn to historical stories, especially those that incorporate elements of mystery and the supernatural, conveying human truths through metaphors. She studied History at UAM (Autonomous University of Madrid) and cinematography at ECAM (School of Cinematography and Audiovisuals of the Community of Madrid).
Since then, he has balanced teaching cinema with her cinematic work. He has worked as a cinematographer on several works in the fantasy genre, including "El sueño de los perros" (2021) by Dídac Gimeno (selected at the Sitges Film Festival, Spain); or "Alicia" (2023) and "Abracitos" (2020) by Tony Morales, a short film with over 20 international awards, including the Audience Award at Fantasia (Montreal, Canada) and selections at Fantastic Fest (Austin, USA), and Screamfest (Los Angeles, USA).
