Independent Film Director Ed Castañeda is a first generation Mexican-American. He grew up in Toledo, Ohio and currently lives in Seattle, WA. Ed's film jouirney began in 2020 completing a 15-week online filmmaker course at the New York Film Academy (NYFA). Three student films later he was hooked. He found his home. Ed quickly jumped into the Seattle Independent filmmaking community and wrote, directed and produced 9 consecutive 48-hour film projects since then. Ed has had several short films make successful festival runs and winning multiple awards including Best FIlm, Best Writing, Best Directing and more. With several films in pre-production, post and some in in the festival circuit, Ed continues to grow with each new film. He is working on building an even broader body of work on his way to completing his first feature film within a few years. Ed’s goal is to bring Untold stories to life as a film and television writer and director, using his experience as a first generation Mexican-American. Read less
