Matteo La Capria was born on November 22, 1995 in France. Very young, he began to evolve in artistic world: actor for television and cinema from the age of 12, humorist on stage from age of fourteen, author of television sketches from fifteen ... No matter how, Matteo always wanted to tell stories. The writing and directing of films are ultimately the best ways he found to express his own universe. With a constant focus on film and entertainment quality, he tries to achieve the same goal as his greatest models: Brian De Palma, Alfred Hitchcock, Frank Capra or Wes Anderson. Tell personal and original stories in a way to reach the widest audience. Mattéo La Capria first created music videos and short videos for the web, then wrote and directed two pilots of a conceptual series on poetry, "Poèmétrages". The quality and ambition of the concept convinced renowned french artists such as actors Pierre Richard and Marc Fraize or singer-songwriter Christophe to participate. Always accompanied by talented artists and technicians he convinced by the strength of his passion and enthusiasm, he then directed two short films. "Mauvaise Blague" and "Another Alice", strong and sharp stories within visually unique universes that question the line between dream and reality. He is now preparing his first feature film as writer-director, while continuing his career as an actor, as for example recently with Jacques Audiard (Les Olympiades, 2021). Read less
