Night of the Bride
A young woman’s cry for help falls on deaf ears as a family holds her hostage. Keen on getting their only son married, who has ‘chosen' her as the one, the family is willing to go to any lengths to fulfill his wish and unite them forever. As the gagged and bound bride is dragged in for the ceremony, the events take an even more sinister and shocking turn, that ends up changing the course of this unholy ritual.

Virat Pal is an award-winning Indian filmmaker based in LA whose work is steeped in the horror genre. His latest short film, NIGHT OF THE BRIDE, has recently started its festival run - an official selection at Fantasia 2023, where it won an Audience Award for Best Asian Short, it has had screenings at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, and the Overlook Film Festival where it won the Jury award for the Scariest Short Film. Upcoming screenings include Celluloid Screams and Mayhem Film Festival in the UK, Razor Reel Flanders in Belgium, Terror Molins in Spain, Monster Fest in Australia and MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, which is the biggest film festival in India.
His previous films have been immensely popular online and received well in festivals - from THE BELLS, which has over 7.5 Million views on YouTube and numerous reaction videos online, to FACELIFT, which premiered at a host of popular genre festivals around the world, including ScreamFest, Grimmfest (UK), MonsterFest (Australia), Fantafestival (Italy), and Les Utopiales (France) amongst others.
Virat is currently attached to direct the horror film PRIMETIME that is in the casting phase for a production company called The Sourrce in India. Having a passion for telling dark, scary, thrilling and emotionally rooted stories with the aim of making them accessible and mainstream, Virat wants to make films that explore the human condition but through the lens of genre.
