The writer of THE DINNER GAME wrote the first draft when she was only 17 years old. And now, almost two decades later, they've brought it back to life and made something adults and teenagers can both relate to: trying to fit in where you simply can’t. What drew Lauren to this story was the colliding of the characters' worlds. A power struggle between a family that lives and dies by a tradition that is so alienating, it's suffocating, and a con artist who makes his way through the world by never staying long enough to actually be seen. And what happens when two people looking for a way out find each other instead? This story isn’t about falling in love. It’s an exploration of lust, and trusting an outsider enough to free you from your past.
