Synopsis
A Gothic fairy tale combining live action and stop motion puppet animation to tell the story of two little girls who disobey their mother for a glimpse into a magical other world and end up paying dearly for their caprice. Caroline Coutts was born in Wick, Scotland and moved to Canada with her family when she was three years old. She is a graduate of the Directors' Lab at the Canadian Film Centre in Toronto and has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. Caroline's previous short films include "DogBoy," the story of a feral boy raised by dogs in an anonymous city, "The Lonely Passion of Petar the Pig Farmer," a surreal Wagnerian fable about a lonely man and his search for the perfect mate and "The Beast of Dulle Griet," about a 16th century underground village terrorized by a faceless menace.
