Daniel was born in October Cham, deep in the Bavarian forest. After graduating and performing his community service he went to Kassel in the year 2000 to study animated film which seemed to be a perfect combination between drawing (his long-standing hobby) and film (his great passion). After making some short animated films, exercises, comic projects, storyboards and many illustrations he realized that these mediums did not fit to the stories he wanted to tell. So he began to study feature film in 2002. He gained experience as an assistant and storyboard-drawer on many short film productions, in 2003 he started work for his first movie "happy end". The whole production from planning to the final cut was such a great and fascinating experience for him that he decided to continue working as a director. One year later in fall 2004 he produced two cinema commercials on 35 mm film for a local newspaper which brought him new experience with the medium film after lots of video-work. At the moment he is working on several short movies and the screenplay for his next movie, which he wants to present for his university diploma. Read less
