The Filmmaker’s Guide to a Successful Festival

Heading to the Big Easy for the 9th Annual Screamfest New Orleans? We have curated a list of partner hotels to make your stay comfortable and convenient.
📣 Your Role: The Team Captain
While Screamfest promotes the festival as a whole, you are the team captain for your film. Success at the box office starts with your grassroots efforts.
🚫 Important: Premiere Status
To ensure the success and exclusivity of your festival screening, please do not hold private cast and family screenings before your official screening at The Broad Theater.
The "Power of 10" Goal:
🔥 Get your entire team involved (Director, Producers, Cast, Crew). If 10 team members each invite 10 friends, that is 100 tickets sold immediately!
How to Fill Those Seats:
- Ticket Links: Expected to go live on the site by late September or Early October.
- Direct Notification: We will email you the direct link to your film’s tickets as soon as they go public.
🎬 Opening Night Details
The full festival schedule is typically announced in late September or early October.
📅 Friday, October 16th, 2026
6:00 PM: Arrive at the Broad Theater lobby.
Check-in: Locate the Screamfest Will Call table to pick up your Filmmaker Badge before the Opening Night film begins.
