Matthew Deimling Johns was born in Toledo, Ohio. He began to tackle filmmaking at Ohio University, then learned under the post-production master-minds at Milkhaus in Denver, Colorado; assisting with award winning documentary pieces such as Casting JonBenet ( 2017), Being Evel (2015), and LEGO: A Brickumentary (2014). Through his Master in Filmmaking tenure at ESCAC in Barcelona, Matthew only began to stretch his legs, previously writing, directing, and producing the short film Encore (2021).
