Joanne was born in Lambeth, London. She grew up in leafy Surrey and at 21 years attended the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in the UK where she trained for three years as an actress. Since graduating she has had a full and varied career in Theatre, TV, Radio, Voiceovers and film. In the past few years she has gained a thirst for writing and producing films and has also gained invaluable experience as a 'storyliner' on a well known British tv show. With her husband, she set up their own film company, "Mitchell-Brunt Films". So far three independent films that she has co-written and produced have all had worldwide distribution one of which is still currently on Netflix in the UK - BAIT. Before Dawn, Bait, and Attack Of The Adult Babies have had success all over the world. As well as features, Joanne has also written and produced two short films: Shellshocked and The Mighty Witch Killers of Pendle Hill.
