SCREENPLAY SUBMISSIONS

Thank you for your interest in submitting your screenplay to the 2013 SCREAMFEST Horror Film Festival. The 2013 screenplay competition is open for all writers from around the world. We will accept submissions until June 15, 2013.
The following are our deadlines and fees for 2013:

Screenplay Submission Information

EXTENDED! SCREAMFEST just obtained a first look deal for the winning screenplay with Chiller TV. Due to this exciting news we have extended the Final deadline to June 15th.

Moviemaker Magazine listed Screamfest as one of the 25 Festivals Worth The Entry Fee ~

SUBMISSION INFORMATION:

Screenplays can be submitted online by clicking the link above or mailing a hard copy with a postmark date of no later than June 15th.

Online entrants can complete their application, make their credit card payment and upload a PDF version of their script. Screenplay file names should be saved in this format: Title_Lastname.pdf

The online application must be completed and script uploaded by 11:59 p.m. on June 15th.

Entry fees are non refundable, and may be paid in the form of Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, check or money order paid in US dollars, only through a US affiliated bank.

A $2.00 processing fee will be added to all credit card payments.

ONLINE SUBMISSION FORMAT:

A complete entry includes a single copy of a script in PDF format only, a completed online application form and an entry fee.

Complete the online screenplay submission form here. You may enter your logline or paragraph synopsis on the online submission form. You do not need to include one with your pdf.

You will receive an email confirmation for your records.

You will be directed to the payment form where you can make your payment through a paypal button.

You will be directed to the Screenplay Uploader form where you may upload your screenplay in PDF format only.

Entrants may submit more than one screenplay into the competition, however each entry must be done separately.

HARD COPY SUBMISSION FORMAT:

Hard copy scripts must be bound with industry standard brads and formatted correctly.

Feature film script length should be at least 75 pages and not over 130 (there is no page limit).

Please include a paragraph synopsis bound with script after title page.

Complete the online submission form which will prompt you for payment through Paypal. Once you have completed your payment, please print a copy of your payment receipt to mail with your hard copy script.

Submitted scripts will not be returned.

IF YOU ARE A FINALIST or WINNER:

Finalists will be notified by Oct. 1st. Screenplay finalists and winners will be announced in the Screamfest e-newsletter and the winning entries will be posted on the Screamfest website.
