As a small child, Julian exhibited a tell-tale sign of being a storyteller: he paraded around his house with a chopstick in hand creating and acting out scenes from video games and movies. His love for storytelling was ignited during one scorching hot summer in his hometown of Phoenix, AZ, when he gathered his childhood friends together to make a movie. There was no stopping his passion for filmmaking after that. Julian holds an MFA in Film Production from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Cinematic Arts and a BA in Media Arts and English/American Literature from the University of Arizona. During his time at USC, Julian was awarded the James Bridges Scholarship for Directing. In 2010, Iris, a short horror film written and directed by Julian during his first year at USC, was officially selected to play at a number of horror film festivals around the country. In addition to filmmaking, Julian is actively pursuing an acting career in Los Angeles, performing in film, TV, commercials, and theatre. He is also a skilled photographer, a hard-hitting drummer, and for a short period of time was a competitive air guitarist performing under his alter ego, “Hardcore Henry.” Read less
