Sam Barnett was born to a nun-turned-pagan mother and atheist father in the Christian/military stronghold that is Colorado Springs, CO. He spent five years writing fiction and producing experimental music before discovering that film and animation fulfilled all of his artistic impulses, which lead him to make films driven as much by sound as by image.
