Before returning to his native Canada to participate in the Canadian Film Centre's 2011 Directors' Lab, Jeremy spent over 10 years in the People's Republic of China where he studied Mandarin, completed an MA in Film Studies at the Beijing Film Academy, and worked in the Art and Visual Effects departments of numerous large scale Chinese and Western productions. His recent work includes The Archivist, a sinister short film commemorating Toronto's historic Elgin & Winter Garden Theatres that will screen during the 2013 Toronto Film Festival, and an episode of Vincenzo Natali's digital urban horror series Darknet.
